RANGERS FIRST BASEMAN SCHEDULED TO BE IN LINEUP MONDAY AND TUESDAY

ROUND ROCK, Texas – Texas Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland is scheduled to join the Round Rock Express for a rehab assignment Monday and Tuesday at The Dell Diamond. Monday’s game is against the Omaha Storm Chasers, while Tuesday’s game is against the Albuquerque Isotopes. Both games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT.

Moreland, 26, was placed on the disabled list June 22 with a left hamstring strain. He is hitting .272 (43-for-158) with 10 homers and 25 RBI in 55 games with the Rangers this season. Moreland broke into the majors during the 2010 season after hitting .289 (102-for-353) with 12 homers and 65 RBI for then-Rangers Triple-A affiliate Oklahoma City. He hit .259 (120-for-464) with 16 homers and 51 RBI in 134 games with Texas last season.
